A Greek New Zealand creative artist and teacher, Vicky Yiannoutsos is an award-winning director who has worked for 35 years as a producer, director, writer and acting coach in the film and theatre industry. Her company Vix Pix Productions Ltd. produces film, theatre and multi-media moving image works and trains actors, writers and directors for the screen.

PERSEPHONE series – PERSEPHONE returns

Since first visiting Greece as a young girl, Vicky has identified the myth of Demeter and Persephone as a metaphor for the migrant experience.

It has underpinned her work as artist over the last 30 years. Her film and multi-media works made up of the moving image and written word have been screened and exhibited internationally.
